Get behind the driver's seat with this Speed Racer based on the Wachowski Brothers film with its garage of combat-ready rides and see how you fare in "car-fu style" action. Take on the role of the characters from the film, getting behind the wheels of each character's signature vehicles to experience firsthand the film's high adrenaline, combative racing style. The film itself is based on the classic series created by anime pioneer Tatsuo Yoshida. A live-action family adventure, Speed Racer follows the young racecar driver Speed in his quest for glory on and off the track in his thundering Mach 5. Choose between three different variations of the Mach 5, each one equipped with several gadgets that are unique to the car like grip tires, rotary saws, a periscope, a deflector, and auto jacks. All of the gadgets have a specific purpose. The rotary saws are used to cut down any trees that get in the way. By activating the auto jacks, the Mach 5 can jump over obstacles to discover shortcuts. Discovering the shortcuts is the key to getting the fastest times on all three tracks and mastering the Normal and Endurance modes. If you play the game well enough, you will be able to unlock new vehicles, including Racer X. Get behind the wheel and go, SPEED RACER, go!

It wasn't great, but got it for cheap and my son and I play it once and a while. Don't spend more than a dime on it though. -- Not Bad

I bought this for my nephew for his 6yr birthday. He really liked it alot, I think his 4 1/2 yr old brother enjoyed it even more but he plays the Wii alot more. Talking with my nephews after they had the game for a little while they both still really like to play it. The graphics are really colorful and wild and the tracs are so cool. None of us saw the movie but we all thought the game was cool. You only start off with a couple drivers and you get to unlock more as you advance in the game. -- Great Racing Game

I love this game because it's feels really fast to drive the cars on the "psychedelic" tracks!
It represents the movie very well and my kids love it because they fell like into the movie and being Speed Racer (actually they don't like to run with Speed Racer... he's not tough enough to win races on level 3 tracks).

I don't buy many games, but this one is worthy!

Our kids range from ages 4 through 10. All of our kids love this game. It's one of the few that they can agree on. The game is a great value. As an adult, however, it took me some time to stop feeling motion sickness as I was playing this game. It's very fast moving and the graphics are wild and take you through many twists, turns, and loops at at fast rate. -- Speed Racer for Wii

Bought this game for a "new to the Wii" 10 yr old boy - he absolutely loves it. It is hard to keep him from shuffling forward into the TV the whole game though.:)
He loves the fact that you get to "unlock" new players and that you can play with multiple players at the same time.
