User Reviews about Mass Effect 2
Excellent game play. Controls changed from Mass Effect; but after a few scenarios, worked well. Addictive game style draws you to indentify with the characters. -- Mass Effect 2
I absolutely Love that game. I already played as 2 classes and will continue until I play all the classes and on different levels. I never had so much fun before. What disappoints me is how fast the story ends. I wish it had more. A LOT more adventures, story lines, even more action. The game is PERFECT in my opinion. Its just it looks short and you want more and more all the time. What I want is new characters in Mass Effect 3, BESIDE of the old ones, and longer, longer gameplay. I played all the game twice with DLC pack(OF COURSE, coz I'm a HUGE fan of ME2). What I have , MUST , will do is buy ME1, coz I haven't played it. Really a shame : ( And the collectors edition is not totally great. Add more, remove mistakes from the texts, make a simple guide to be terrific.) Game rocks. Absolutely fantastic in my opinion. But please in ME3 make it so that old characters will be there too. If the character suppose to die, please at least make a twist or add-on or bonus campaign, whatsoever where it is possible to save them. Not like the female character from ME1. I wish I had her in ME2. Oh and to see what characters, we, gamers love IN ME2, please just go to forums, google em.Some characters I love so much that if they will be not available in ME3, I will kill someone. Really it would be a sad, boring crappy game to play and not just for me. We, fans have lots of expectation in ME3.Add more, MORE romance, longer, sexier, hotter(which is the same lol), and more ways to flirt, date with one character. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE we love flirt. Oh and make Shephard hotter. Hopefully the game will be 18+ :D Not for some kido's XD And please as most games fall for it: When the game is bug free, with a great stories, plot and u sure on all 1000% we won't be disappointed, then release it and don't forget another DLC pack :D Oh God, I cant wait for ME3 collectors edition. Oh and sad ME1 has only standard edition. Thats a shame.
Do not repeat other games and break our dreams and desires to play it.
Last words:
I love ya dudes, girls, for making such an amazing, super awesome game. Wish it had no bug like when u walk up into the air and couldn't move. But hell with it. I wish there was a way to turn a game into reality. I just love it.
I give the game infinite amount of stars. I hope developers do read comments and reviews on their game. That way they'll know what they missed and need to do and so on. -- ME2+ ME3 U'll see what I mean when u read
I hesitated to get his game as Mass Effect 1 received lukewarm reviews. This is a lot of fun with great graphics and a very cinematic feel. It can be a bit cumbersome to go through all the dialogue to stay in touch with what is going on in the game but it is worth it for the immersion experience. The voice acting is excellent and the dialogue is done well. Unlike many games with cheesy lines and poor acting, this is on the scale of a decent Hollywood movie. If you are into run-n-gun like Left for Dead, do not buy this game. If you like RPG Shooters, BUY THIS.
The battles are fun albeit a bit unchallenging so far but fun none the less. The weapons and mod systems are easy to use and controlling your squad is straight forward (but challenging to master, thankfully) via to a well designed interface. The slick thing is there are various elements needed to build and research upgrades and such you need to locate given amounts to obtain new items. Although there is no rhyme or reason as to where to look for these (it seems you stumble on them) maybe that was part of the design.
Your choices in dialogue do have an effect as I have saved and went back and tried a different tact with different results.....very cool. You can be a ball buster, fight, threaten and control with an iron fist or a nice guy helping others or whatever blend you choose and your character builds on the fly. While there is a point system to assign to skills, it is hassle free and simple.
From playing in an unfolding story to battling, gaining info, researching and earning new skills & weapons along with some of the general missions to find things that are needed and transfer to those in need, this is a mercenary, bounty hunter, scavenger game that so far been fun. Lastly, I generally prefer 1st Person but the camera and angle in this are excellently done so I have adapted to this quickly and like it (unlike Gears of War)
-- Great Cinematic Game

I've played my share of video games, and from a mature standpoint, this is the best game ever! Period. The characters are so real that I felt like I was in a movie. The characters are great and story line superb.I've played it thru so many times I lost count, and am still discovering new things. It's a mature game that doesn't dumb you down, but allows for constant interaction. Voices are great (Martin Sheen, awesome)and I loved the romance angle! We need more of that. You feel good after playing it; not like a homicidal killer. -- mass effect 2 = best game ever
