User Reviews about Lego Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues

All Lego Games are great - this one has an advanced split screen feature that allows the two players to explore different areas at the same time versus the older Lego Games require the two players to stay together.
This game is even fun and easy to play for younger audiences (4 years +).
-- Great Game
This is honestly my second favorite LEGO videogame put out by Traveller's Tales so far, right behind LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4. I am a huge Indy fan which could be a big factor of my favor, but the new engine created for the game is a long deserved change-up in the LEGO game universe. LEGO Star Wars 1 and 2, Indana Jones 1 and LEGO Batman are all very similar styles as far as the hubs and gameplay go. Indiana Jones 2: The Continued Adventures add 6 hubs, not just 1; 1 for each original Indy film and 3 for Crystal Skull. My brother and I (He's 21 and I'm 19) loved this game. We weren't able to plow through it because there are so many achievements and unlockable items that you can't simply beat it in one sitting or play-through. We were even getting frustrated in a few levels!

It's understandable how little kids would like this game, but I doubt they'd have the patience or understanding of getting the 100% score after completing all 6 hubs. Just because it's a LEGO game don't believe it's only for kids! -- One of the best LEGO games from Tt yet
Ok, first off, I did like this game.

BUT, this game might be one of the worst designed messes in recorded history. They took the simple game design of previous Lego titles and, well, discarded all of it.

First off, the hub --- rather than being a quick portal to game levels --- is now a level of its own. Which means you get to FIND where the levels are. Fun. Rather than making it easy to locate, you have to search the map to find them. The movement speed is slow enough to make this annoying if you know precisely where they are...but, particularly when you are doing bonus levels, finding them is a chore.

And, when you find them, you get the next joy. You usually have to use specific characters to open them up...but you cannot pick characters from a menu. You have to find their spawn points in the level to get them. And since a regular posse of 6 folks are there, if you need two irregular characters, its going to be a chore pulling it off. Why you cannot just pick who you want is inexplicable.

Mission variety is lacking. Story levels consist of a car battle, huge slugfest, boss fight, and two platforming levels. It lacks variety heavily. The vehicles also handle quite poorly, so the vehicle missions and hub races ain't much fun.

The "super bonus" levels from prior games return, but are far easier and are now simply easy strolls and not nightmarish headaches. This is the one real improvement.

Being saddled with the lame IJ movie is bad enough...but adding in bafflingly poor design is unforgiveable. If you love Lego games, get it. Otherwise, it will disappoint. -- Bizarre Choices Mar a Fun Title
This game is epic! It has Raiders of the lost ark, Temple of Doom, The last crusade, and for the first time Kindom of the crystal skull. Some new features are you can build your own level and one of the ones thats a little different is you don't buy characters from a store anymore, now you have to fight off a number of each enemy first and then buy them right in the stage. Also you can now hold the attack button and a little aiming target will come up allowing you to choose who or what you want to lasso. The level editor is really good and the tools they supply you with are great!! You still go into levels and smash verything in sight for coins, well my conclusion is, the hub worlds are kinda confusing, but I would recomend this game to anyone who likes the other Lego video games. -- Epic game.
