User Reviews about Guinness World Records: The Videogame
This game is great for my kids-ages 5-9. It keeps them amused for hours. The games are interactive and fun. My husband and I love to play the games too. I had to buy a game for all of my kids! Would highly recommend it. -- Guinness World Record DS Game--Great Buy
For my nephew's 8th birthday we bought him this game. He is a very competitive kid and from other reviews it sounded like this was a game he could "compete" on and try to beat other's scores. According to him, "It blew me away! It's awesome. Really awesome."
I know he plays it a lot so it looks like a winner!
-- From a loving Aunt
I got this for my 8-year old son since he loves the Guiness Books. He thought it was so much fun. His 7-year old sister especially loves it. She wants a DSI for her birthday, and this is the game she most cares about playing on it! I tried playing it too and it was fun but they are much better at it than me!! -- My Children Love It!
I bought this for my 6 y.o. son. The guy at the video game store tried to talk me out of it but I am glad I didn't listen to him. This game is fun to play.
You hold the Nintendo ds like a book to play for most games. First you pick your country, then region before choosing 1 of the 4 players (2 boys & 2 girls) made available. Up to four players can participate at a time. You can personalize the your character and although they appear childish, the game itself is fun for all ages. Your character wanders the world to find challenges. At first, only certain challenges are available; the rest need to be purchased.
The challenges are as varied as the Guinness World Record books themselves. There are brief explanations of how to play each game which don't always help but a few plays will help you get the hang of it. Some games are much harder then others so we steer our youngest toward ones we know will not frustrate him (like the bubble, turkey plunking or sheep challenge). With a wifi connection, you can compete against others around the world and take the opportunity to post your own Guinness World Record score (personally, we've never been close but it's always nice to have a goal & ideal for better players).
This game is great silly fun for the whole family. I need to try this on our wii system for game night! -- A BLAST TO PLAY!
This was a gift for my 10 year old. He loves it and plays it alot. He likes to be challenged. -- Very cool
