Borderlands is a great experience. So many weapons to master, enemies to kill, and abilities to gain. Much funner playing with the maximum amount of people. Great characters, excellent campaign (excluding the ending, which is somewhat made up for with the expansion packs). Even when I got bored of this game a few months after i bought it. I played it again recently with a fresh burst of excitement. Truly replayable. Borderlands 2, please? -- Glorious Havok!
Well, coming from a guy who used to play WoW but quit because he didn't have enough time, this game is perfect. It expertly combines the RPG elements and FPS elements into a very cohesive game. Definitely recommend. -- RPS!
I just finished this game in co-op mode a few weeks ago and it was a great ride. The four char. classes work well together and the game really shines when it's in full co-op madness.
There's tons to do in this game and plenty of DLC once you finish the main storyline. As for a rating I'd say the single player mode is fair to good and the multi is excellent not to be missed. -- Great Co-op Title

If you love tons and tons of weapons and love comparing and collecting weapons, this game is for you.
Additional pros:
-Unique, interesting artwork/visuals
-great voice acting
-players are rewarded for using the environment to their advantage
-humor in the storyline (and dlc)
-great music choice/score, good ambient music, not distracting but very fitting and adds to the mood
-4 different characters with their unique abilities to customize
-dlc is very high quality, each with its own storyline/unique items/features
cons:
-low res textures can be seen if zoomed in on objects
-driving mechanics could be more polished
-quests are essentially the same (kill more stuff or go find stuff)
-story may be anticlimactic
-not good for people who do not like rpgs at all; this game is 60% rpg, 40% fps
-frame rate does drop when lots of elemental effects/smoke occurs at on the screen at the same time; one cutscene have noticeable framerate lag/drop for the xbox 360 -- Borderlands in a nutshell
